Congratulations to the Lady Cougars Track Team who competed in the Clay Relays last Friday.  Event results were: 100 meter run-Alana Johnson (3rd place); 400 relay- Niya King, Sapphire Cavanaugh,Jasmine Weston and Alana Johnson (2nd place); 800 relay- Niya King, Alana Johnson, Jasmine Weston and Chesley Barwiler (2nd place); 400 meter run- Chesley Barwiler (2nd place); High Jump - Elizabeth Sares (3rd place); Long Jump - Elizabeth Sares (2nd place).

 

Congrats to the Boys Track Team for taking overall 2nd place at the Clay Relays last Friday. Event results were: 100 meter run - Malcolm Johnson (1st place) and Jeremy Cook ( 3rd place); 200 meter run - Malcolm Johnson (1st place) and JJ Pickney (2nd place);400 meter run -JJ Pickney (1st place) and Chad Justus (4th place); 800 meter run - Frank Hayes (4th place); 400 relay- Keith Gilmore, Jeremy Cook, Keith Caldwell, Malcolm Johnson ( 1st place); 800 relay- Keith Gilmore, Keith Caldwell, JaQuan Bowers, Perry Burks (4th place); 1600 relay- Frank Hayes, Chad Justus, Jeremy Cook, JJ Pickney (1st place); Discus- Berry Grant (3rd place); Shot Put- Berry Grant (4th place).

 

Students who received commendation forms from Mrs. Yoshino last week are reminded to return them to her today.

 

Today there will be a Gay Straight Alliance meeting directly after school in Room 143B.    Refreshments will be served and we will plan our end of the year picnic.

 

The Library will be closed tomorrow morning before school until approximately 11:30 for AP testing.

 

The Fellowship of Christian Athletes will meet tomorrow morning at 7:00 AM in Room 139A.

 

There will be a meeting for all girls interested in playing soccer at SV in the fall. This meeting will cover summer workouts and camps. The meeting will be held at 3:00 on Wednesday afternoon in the cafeteria.

 

Attention Juniors:  Do you enjoy the morning announcements?  Have you ever thought, “I could do that”?  Well, here is your chance.  Come to the Guidance Office and sign up on the green sheet on Mrs. Yoshino’s desk.   You must sign up by Wednesday if you are interested in trying out.  More info will follow.

 

Seniors:  Your Caps & Gowns will be delivered on Thursday, May 16 during lunches in the cafeteria.  You will need to pay your remaining balance due with cash or money order to pick them up.  No personal checks will be accepted.

I know you.  You know you.  And I know you know that I know you.   And you want to play dodge ball.  So play dodge ball this Thursday at 6:00 PM.  Signups are in the cafeteria by the library.  Watch for $2 or make a team and play for $3.  Who will be the champion?

 

Any male students who are attending the University of Cincinnati next year can stop in guidance to pick up a Sigma Chi scholarship application.

5600 - CODE OF CONDUCT

E.  Loitering/Trespassing. A student without a specific school related reason or purpose shall not be on school property or at school sponsored activity. Any unauthorized entry of school property or any refusal to leave school property when ordered will be considered trespassing.

 

·         First Offense: Parent/Guardian notified via phone.

·         Second Offense: Wednesday Detention assigned.

·         Third offense and thereafter: Out of school suspension (OSS).

 

      At 2:45 p.m. after school the gates to the Foreign language and Math hallways will be closed.  All students who are awaiting rides should wait by the main office vestibule entrance.
